General Rules

• Contest is open to all Pine Hall Brick customers, their sales employees and their customers who purchase or specify Pine Hall Brick products.
• Photos must be of current Pine Hall Brick (PHB) Pavers or thin brick  (ThinClad or PaverTiles) that have been installed in the last 5 years.
• Entry must identify PHB product type, color, size, and mortar/grout color (if applicable).
• Entry must identify project location (city, state), title, year of installation and distributor who sold the PHB products. Private residences do not need title and may be identified as private residence. PHB will not release any information details about the photo except to identify the PHB product and related details.
• By submitting photographs to PHB for this photo contest, you agree to give PHB the unlimited rights to use photographs on its website and in promotional, marketing and educational materials.
• All entries will be judged in each round of judging except for previous winners.
• No limit to the number of entries from an individual or customer. No limit to the number of times an entrant may win a prize.
• PHB will judge and pick Round winners & Grand prize winners. Judges decisions are final.
• PHB reserves to right to not award prizes (all or partial) if entries are less than 10 per category, per round.

Images

• Images must have a file size 2550 x 3300 pixels at 300 dpi in JPEG or TIF format, no larger than 32 MB
• Be uploaded individually (cannot submit multiple images in one file)
• No verbiage or identifying information is allowed on the images
• Up to 3 images of the same project may be submitted as separate entries
• The successful winning photograph will show the brick product in use context but also show product details like color & texture.
• The successful winning photograph will have clear focus with a large depth of field to allow for cropping.
• Taking photographs of things that are plainly visible from the public domain is legal except for private property that is generally regarded as private such as a bedroom, bathroom or hotel room.
• If you are on private property, use a release form. A sample is here. If the property owner is present and allows you to take a photograph, it is generally regarded that they have given implied consent so a release may not be necessary.
• Photographer owns the photo copyright as soon as the shutter is released.
• Prizes will be awarded through gift cards or other suitable methods.

Release and Consent

PHB must have a complete and unlimited release and full consent from the owners and copyright holders to use photos submitted to PHB for purposes of this contest.  By submitting photos for award consideration, entrants are giving PHB permission to publish all images and product information for any promotional and educational use, including but not limited to:

• PHB Website, pinehallbrick.com
• PHB presentations, educational and promotional materials
• Public relations articles and materials promoting the use of PHB brick products
• PHB publications – brochures, trade advertisements, flyers, trade show materials, etc…
• PHB social media, all platforms

Entrants must obtain approval from owners and copyright holders prior to submitting entries. It is the responsibility of the firm, designer, or company entering a project to ensure that the above approvals and rights are granted. By entering a project, the entrant is stating that these approvals and rights have been granted to PHB without restriction to use the photos submitted as part of this contest.
